詩篇 第 78

（ 亞 薩 的 訓 誨 詩。 ） 我 的 民 哪， 你 們 要 留 心 聽 我 的 訓 誨， 側 耳 聽 我 口 中 的 話。

Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.

我 要 開 口 說 比 喻 ； 我 要 說 出 古 時 的 謎 語，

I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:

是 我 們 所 聽 見 、 所 知 道 的， 也 是 我 們 的 祖 宗 告 訴 我 們 的。

Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.

我 們 不 將 這 些 事 向 他 們 的 子 孫 隱 瞞， 要 將 耶 和 華 的 美 德 和 他 的 能 力， 並 他 奇 妙 的 作 為， 述 說 給 後 代 聽。

We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.

因 為， 他 在 雅 各 中 立 法 度， 在 以 色 列 中 設 律 法 ； 是 他 吩 咐 我 們 祖 宗 要 傳 給 子 孫 的，

For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:

使 將 要 生 的 後 代 子 孫 可 以 曉 得 ； 他 們 也 要 起 來 告 訴 他 們 的 子 孫，

That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:

好 叫 他 們 仰 望 神， 不 忘 記 神 的 作 為， 惟 要 守 他 的 命 令。

That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:

不 要 像 他 們 的 祖 宗， 是 頑 梗 悖 逆 、 居 心 不 正 之 輩， 向 著 神， 心 不 誠 實。

And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.

以 法 蓮 的 子 孫 帶 著 兵 器， 拿 著 弓， 臨 陣 之 日 轉 身 退 後。

The children of Ephraim, being armed, and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle.

他 們 不 遵 守 神 的 約， 不 肯 照 他 的 律 法 行 ；

They kept not the covenant of God, and refused to walk in his law;

又 忘 記 他 所 行 的 和 他 顯 給 他 們 奇 妙 的 作 為。

And forgat his works, and his wonders that he had shewed them.

他 在 埃 及 地， 在 瑣 安 田， 在 他 們 祖 宗 的 眼 前 施 行 奇 事。

Marvellous things did he in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.

他 將 海 分 裂， 使 他 們 過 去， 又 叫 水 立 起 如 壘。

He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and he made the waters to stand as an heap.

他 白 日 用 雲 彩， 終 夜 用 火 光 引 導 他 們。

In the daytime also he led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire.

他 在 曠 野 分 裂 磐 石， 多 多 地 給 他 們 水 喝， 如 從 深 淵 而 出。

He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths.

他 使 水 從 磐 石 湧 出， 叫 水 如 江 河 下 流。

He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.

他 們 卻 仍 舊 得 罪 他， 在 乾 燥 之 地 悖 逆 至 高 者。

And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness.

他 們 心 中 試 探 神， 隨 自 己 所 欲 的 求 食 物，

And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust.

並 且 妄 論 神 說 ： 神 在 曠 野 豈 能 擺 設 筵 席 麼 ？

Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?

他 曾 擊 打 磐 石， 使 水 湧 出， 成 了 江 河 ； 他 還 能 賜 糧 食 麼 ？ 還 能 為 他 的 百 姓 預 備 肉 麼 ？

Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people?

所 以， 耶 和 華 聽 見 就 發 怒 ； 有 烈 火 向 雅 各 燒 起 ； 有 怒 氣 向 以 色 列 上 騰 ；

Therefore the LORD heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel;

因 為 他 們 不 信 服 神， 不 倚 賴 他 的 救 恩。

Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation:

他 卻 吩 咐 天 空， 又 敞 開 天 上 的 門，

Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven,

降 嗎 哪， 像 雨 給 他 們 吃， 將 天 上 的 糧 食 賜 給 他 們。

And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven.

各 人 （ 或 譯 ： 人 ） 吃 大 能 者 的 食 物 ； 他 賜 下 糧 食， 使 他 們 飽 足。

Man did eat angels’ food: he sent them meat to the full.

他 領 東 風 起 在 天 空， 又 用 能 力 引 了 南 風 來。

He caused an east wind to blow in the heaven: and by his power he brought in the south wind.

他 降 肉， 像 雨 在 他 們 當 中， 多 如 塵 土， 又 降 飛 鳥， 多 如 海 沙，

He rained flesh also upon them as dust, and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea:

落 在 他 們 的 營 中， 在 他 們 住 處 的 四 面。

And he let it fall in the midst of their camp, round about their habitations.

他 們 吃 了， 而 且 飽 足 ； 這 樣 就 隨 了 他 們 所 欲 的。

So they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire;

他 們 貪 而 無 厭， 食 物 還 在 他 們 口 中 的 時 候，

They were not estranged from their lust. But while their meat was yet in their mouths,

神 的 怒 氣 就 向 他 們 上 騰， 殺 了 他 們 內 中 的 肥 壯 人， 打 倒 以 色 列 的 少 年 人。

The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Israel.

雖 是 這 樣， 他 們 仍 舊 犯 罪， 不 信 他 奇 妙 的 作 為。

For all this they sinned still, and believed not for his wondrous works.

因 此， 他 叫 他 們 的 日 子 全 歸 虛 空， 叫 他 們 的 年 歲 盡 屬 驚 恐。

Therefore their days did he consume in vanity, and their years in trouble.

他 殺 他 們 的 時 候， 他 們 才 求 問 他， 回 心 轉 意， 切 切 地 尋 求 神。

When he slew them, then they sought him: and they returned and enquired early after God.

他 們 也 追 念 神 是 他 們 的 磐 石， 至 高 的 神 是 他 們 的 救 贖 主。

And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer.

他 們 卻 用 口 諂 媚 他， 用 舌 向 他 說 謊。

Nevertheless they did flatter him with their mouth, and they lied unto him with their tongues.

因 他 們 的 心 向 他 不 正， 在 他 的 約 上 也 不 忠 心。

For their heart was not right with him, neither were they stedfast in his covenant.

但 他 有 憐 憫， 赦 免 他 們 的 罪 孽， 不 滅 絕 他 們， 而 且 屢 次 消 他 的 怒 氣， 不 發 盡 他 的 忿 怒。

But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.

他 想 到 他 們 不 過 是 血 氣， 是 一 陣 去 而 不 返 的 風。

For he remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passeth away, and cometh not again.

他 們 在 曠 野 悖 逆 他， 在 荒 地 叫 他 擔 憂， 何 其 多 呢 ！

How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert!

他 們 再 三 試 探 神， 惹 動 以 色 列 的 聖 者。

Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.

他 們 不 追 念 他 的 能 力 （ 原 文 是 手 ） 和 贖 他 們 脫 離 敵 人 的 日 子 ；

They remembered not his hand, nor the day when he delivered them from the enemy.

他 怎 樣 在 埃 及 地 顯 神 蹟， 在 瑣 安 田 顯 奇 事，

How he had wrought his signs in Egypt, and his wonders in the field of Zoan:

把 他 們 的 江 河 並 河 的 水 都 變 為 血， 使 他 們 不 能 喝。

And had turned their rivers into blood; and their floods, that they could not drink.

他 叫 蒼 蠅 成 群 落 在 他 們 當 中， 嘬 盡 他 們， 又 叫 青 蛙 滅 了 他 們，

He sent divers sorts of flies among them, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them.

把 他 們 的 土 產 交 給 螞 蚱， 把 他 們 辛 苦 得 來 的 交 給 蝗 蟲。

He gave also their increase unto the caterpiller, and their labour unto the locust.

他 降 冰 雹 打 壞 他 們 的 葡 萄 樹， 下 嚴 霜 打 壞 他 們 的 桑 樹，

He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycomore trees with frost.

又 把 他 們 的 牲 畜 交 給 冰 雹， 把 他 們 的 群 畜 交 給 閃 電。

He gave up their cattle also to the hail, and their flocks to hot thunderbolts.

他 使 猛 烈 的 怒 氣 和 忿 怒 、 惱 恨 、 苦 難 成 了 一 群 降 災 的 使 者， 臨 到 他 們。

He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.

他 為 自 己 的 怒 氣 修 平 了 路， 將 他 們 交 給 瘟 疫， 使 他 們 死 亡，

He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence;

在 埃 及 擊 殺 一 切 長 子， 在 含 的 帳 棚 中 擊 殺 他 們 強 壯 時 頭 生 的。

And smote all the firstborn in Egypt; the chief of their strength in the tabernacles of Ham:

他 卻 領 出 自 己 的 民 如 羊， 在 曠 野 引 他 們 如 羊 群。

But made his own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.

他 領 他 們 穩 穩 妥 妥 地， 使 他 們 不 致 害 怕 ； 海 卻 淹 沒 他 們 的 仇 敵。

And he led them on safely, so that they feared not: but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.

他 帶 他 們 到 自 己 聖 地 的 邊 界， 到 他 右 手 所 得 的 這 山 地。

And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary, even to this mountain, which his right hand had purchased.

他 在 他 們 面 前 趕 出 外 邦 人， 用 繩 子 將 外 邦 的 地 量 給 他 們 為 業， 叫 以 色 列 支 派 的 人 住 在 他 們 的 帳 棚 裡。

He cast out the heathen also before them, and divided them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.

他 們 仍 舊 試 探 、 悖 逆 至 高 的 神， 不 守 他 的 法 度，

Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and kept not his testimonies:

反 倒 退 後， 行 詭 詐， 像 他 們 的 祖 宗 一 樣 ； 他 們 改 變， 如 同 翻 背 的 弓。

But turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers: they were turned aside like a deceitful bow.

因 他 們 的 邱 壇 惹 了 他 的 怒 氣 ； 因 他 們 雕 刻 的 偶 像 觸 動 他 的 憤 恨。

For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images.

神 聽 見 就 發 怒， 極 其 憎 惡 以 色 列 人。

When God heard this, he was wroth, and greatly abhorred Israel:

甚 至 他 離 棄 示 羅 的 帳 幕， 就 是 他 在 人 間 所 搭 的 帳 棚 ；

So that he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men;

又 將 他 的 約 櫃 （ 原 文 是 能 力 ） 交 與 人 擄 去， 將 他 的 榮 耀 交 在 敵 人 手 中 ；

And delivered his strength into captivity, and his glory into the enemy’s hand.

並 將 他 的 百 姓 交 與 刀 劍， 向 他 的 產 業 發 怒。

He gave his people over also unto the sword; and was wroth with his inheritance.

少 年 人 被 火 燒 滅 ； 處 女 也 無 喜 歌。

The fire consumed their young men; and their maidens were not given to marriage.

祭 司 倒 在 刀 下， 寡 婦 卻 不 哀 哭。

Their priests fell by the sword; and their widows made no lamentation.

那 時， 主 像 世 人 睡 醒， 像 勇 士 飲 酒 呼 喊。

Then the LORD awaked as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine.

他 就 打 退 了 他 的 敵 人， 叫 他 們 永 蒙 羞 辱 ；

And he smote his enemies in the hinder parts: he put them to a perpetual reproach.

並 且 他 棄 掉 約 瑟 的 帳 棚， 不 揀 選 以 法 蓮 支 派，

Moreover he refused the tabernacle of Joseph, and chose not the tribe of Ephraim:

卻 揀 選 猶 大 支 派 ─ 他 所 喜 愛 的 錫 安 山 ；

But chose the tribe of Judah, the mount Zion which he loved.

蓋 造 他 的 聖 所， 好 像 高 峰， 又 像 他 建 立 永 存 之 地 ；

And he built his sanctuary like high palaces, like the earth which he hath established for ever.

又 揀 選 他 的 僕 人 大 衛， 從 羊 圈 中 將 他 召 來，

He chose David also his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds:

叫 他 不 再 跟 從 那 些 帶 奶 的 母 羊， 為 要 牧 養 自 己 的 百 姓 雅 各 和 自 己 的 產 業 以 色 列。

From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance.

於 是， 他 按 心 中 的 純 正 牧 養 他 們， 用 手 中 的 巧 妙 引 導 他 們。

So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skilfulness of his hands.
