Romans 第 12
KJV — King James Version · 21 節
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Spiritual Insight
Not a dead sacrifice but a living one — your actual, breathing, daily life offered to God. That's what worship really looks like: not just songs, but your whole self.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Spiritual Insight
Don't squeeze into the world's mold. Let God reshape you from the inside out by renewing how you think. Transformation starts in the mind.
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Spiritual Insight
Think honestly about yourself — not too highly, not too lowly. God has given each person a measure of faith, and sober self-assessment is a gift.
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
Spiritual Insight
One body, many parts, different functions. Your role isn't lesser because it's different — it's essential because it's yours.
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
Spiritual Insight
We belong to each other. Not just to Christ individually, but to one another. Your spiritual life was never meant to be solo.
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
Spiritual Insight
Different gifts, one Giver. Whatever your gift is — prophecy, serving, teaching — use it in proportion to your faith, not beyond it.
Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
Spiritual Insight
If your gift is serving, then serve. If teaching, then teach. Don't aspire to a different gift — pour yourself into the one you've been given.
Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
Spiritual Insight
Give generously, lead diligently, show mercy cheerfully. The attitude matters as much as the action. Grudging generosity isn't really generous.
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
Spiritual Insight
Real love is undivided — it clings to good and rejects evil without pretending. No games, no mixed signals. Just honest love.
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
Spiritual Insight
Outdo each other in showing honor. What a competition — trying to elevate others above yourself. That's countercultural in every era.
Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Spiritual Insight
Don't be lazy, but be on fire. Serve the Lord with your whole heart. Spiritual apathy is the enemy of a vibrant faith.
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Spiritual Insight
Three anchors for rough waters: joyful hope, patient endurance, and faithful prayer. Hold onto all three when the storm hits.
Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
Spiritual Insight
Share what you have and open your home. Practical love doesn't need to be complicated — it just needs to be generous and present.
Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Spiritual Insight
Bless the people hurting you? That's not natural — it's supernatural. And it's the exact opposite of what the world tells you to do.
Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Spiritual Insight
Enter into each other's emotions — celebrate with the celebrators, weep with the weepers. Presence is the most powerful gift you can offer.
Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Spiritual Insight
Live in harmony, don't chase status, and hang out with ordinary people. Stop being impressed with your own cleverness.
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
Spiritual Insight
Don't repay evil with evil. Be honorable in everyone's eyes. Your integrity isn't dependent on how others treat you.
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Spiritual Insight
As much as it depends on you — live at peace. Some conflicts you can't resolve alone, but you can always do your part.
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Spiritual Insight
Leave revenge to God. He sees every injustice, and He'll settle every account. Your job is to step aside and let Him handle it.
Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
Spiritual Insight
Feed your hungry enemy. Give your thirsty opponent a drink. Kindness in the face of hostility is disarming — it melts what anger cannot reach.
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Spiritual Insight
Don't let evil win by becoming evil. Overcome it with good — that's the only victory that actually changes anything.
