Ephesians 第 3
KJV — King James Version · 21 節
For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
Spiritual Insight
Paul writes as a prisoner — not because he did something wrong, but because he did something right. Sometimes faithfulness lands you in hard places, but those places become platforms for ministry.
If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
Spiritual Insight
The stewardship of God's grace was given to Paul for others. Grace isn't meant to be hoarded — it's meant to be managed and shared.
How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
Spiritual Insight
The mystery was made known by revelation — not by human reasoning or study, but by God choosing to reveal it. Some truths can only be received, not discovered.
Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
Spiritual Insight
Paul wanted them to understand his insight into the mystery. He wasn't trying to be mysterious — he genuinely wanted them to grasp what he'd been shown.
Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
Spiritual Insight
This mystery was hidden for generations but is now revealed. We live in an era of open secrets — God has pulled back the curtain on things previous generations only wondered about.
That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
Spiritual Insight
Gentiles are fellow heirs, same body, same promises. In Christ, there are no second-class citizens. Everyone gets the full inheritance.
Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
Spiritual Insight
Paul became a servant of this gospel by God's grace and power. He didn't volunteer for this — he was conscripted by grace. And he considered it the highest privilege.
Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
Spiritual Insight
Paul calls himself the least of all saints — not false humility, but honest amazement that God would use him. When you truly encounter grace, it never stops surprising you.
And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Spiritual Insight
Bringing to light the mystery hidden for ages — Paul's mission was to illuminate what was always there but previously unseen. He was a flashlight in a dark room.
To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
Spiritual Insight
Even the angelic beings learn about God's wisdom through the church. Your local congregation is a classroom for cosmic beings. That gives 'Sunday morning' a whole new weight.
According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
Spiritual Insight
This was God's eternal purpose, accomplished in Christ Jesus. What looks like a new plan has actually been the plan all along. God is never reactive; He's always intentional.
In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
Spiritual Insight
In Christ we have boldness and confident access to God. Not arrogance, but the confident trust of a child who knows their Father loves them.
Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
Spiritual Insight
Paul asks them not to lose heart over his suffering — because his suffering is actually serving them. Sometimes our pain becomes someone else's gain.
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Spiritual Insight
Paul bows his knees before the Father. His most powerful position wasn't standing before kings — it was kneeling before God. Prayer is the real battlefield.
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Spiritual Insight
Every family in heaven and earth derives its name from God. He's the original Father — all parenthood, all belonging, all identity traces back to Him.
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
Spiritual Insight
Strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man. God isn't just interested in fixing your circumstances — He wants to fortify your inner being.
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Spiritual Insight
Christ dwelling in your heart through faith, rooted and grounded in love. Like a tree whose roots go deep, love is what keeps us stable in every storm.
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Spiritual Insight
The love of Christ has dimensions — breadth, length, depth, height. It's too big to measure and too vast to fully grasp. But we're invited to try anyway.
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Spiritual Insight
To know a love that surpasses knowledge — that sounds contradictory until you experience it. Some things can only be known by being known, not by being studied.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Spiritual Insight
God is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine. Our biggest dreams are still too small for God. He's not limited by our expectations.
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Spiritual Insight
Glory to God in the church and in Christ Jesus — forever. The church isn't perfect, but it's still the stage where God's glory is displayed. That's a beautiful calling.
