Revelation Capítulo 20

KJV — King James Version · 15 versículos

1

And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

Spiritual Insight

An angel descends with the key to the abyss and a great chain. Even the prison of evil is under God's authority. The one who holds the key holds the power—and it's not the enemy.

2

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

Spiritual Insight

The dragon—the old serpent, the Devil, Satan—is bound for a thousand years. The enemy's power is limited by God's decree. He is not free to do as he pleases. Rest in that truth today.

3

And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Spiritual Insight

Sealed in the abyss, unable to deceive the nations until the thousand years end. Even the deceiver is subject to God's timetable. Your seasons of deception have an expiration date too.

4

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Spiritual Insight

Thrones and judgment given to the faithful—those beheaded for Jesus, who refused the beast's mark. They live and reign with Christ a thousand years. Faithfulness unto death leads to reigning in life. Your sacrifice is seen.

5

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Spiritual Insight

The rest of the dead live not again until the thousand years are finished—this is the first resurrection. There are two resurrections, and which one you're part of matters forever.

6

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Spiritual Insight

Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection—the second death has no power over them. They will be priests of God and reign with Christ. What an identity! Priest and ruler—yours in Christ.

7

And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

Spiritual Insight

When the thousand years end, Satan will be released. Even paradise has an ending before the final victory. The story isn't over until the last chapter—and the last chapter is glorious.

8

And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Spiritual Insight

Satan goes out to deceive the nations—Gog and Magog—numberless as sand. Even after a thousand years of peace, human hearts can still be led astray. Never stop guarding yours.

9

And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Spiritual Insight

They surround the camp of the saints, and fire from heaven devours them. The last rebellion meets its end instantly. No matter how massive the opposition, God's response is swift and final.

10

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Spiritual Insight

The devil joins the beast and false prophet in the lake of fire—tormented day and night forever. Evil's final destination is sealed. The enemy who tormented you will be tormented eternally. Justice will be complete.

11

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

Spiritual Insight

A great white throne, and heaven and earth flee from His face—no place left to hide. Before this Judge, everything strips away. What remains is just you and the truth of your life.

12

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Spiritual Insight

The dead stand before God, and books are opened—the book of life and the books of works. Your life is being recorded. Live in a way that you'll be glad to see those pages opened.

13

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Spiritual Insight

The sea gives up its dead, death and hades surrender theirs—everyone is accounted for. No one is lost or forgotten in God's accounting. Every person matters to Him.

14

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Spiritual Insight

Death and hades are thrown into the lake of fire—the second death. Death itself dies. The last enemy is destroyed. This is the ultimate victory: death will be no more.

15

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Spiritual Insight

Anyone not found in the book of life is cast into the lake of fire. The book of life is the final test. Is your name there? Make sure—there's nothing more important than this.
