Revelation Capítulo 16
KJV — King James Version · 21 versículos
And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
Spiritual Insight
A great voice commands: Go, pour out the bowls of God's wrath. The command is direct and unavoidable. God's patience has a limit, and when He says 'go,' heaven obeys. Take His warnings seriously.
And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.
Spiritual Insight
Painful sores afflict those who bear the beast's mark—judgment falls precisely on those who chose against God. Choices have consequences, and the marks we carry matter. Whose mark are you bearing today?
And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
Spiritual Insight
The sea becomes like blood—every living thing in it dies. The very source of life turns deadly when God's judgment moves. Creation itself responds to its Creator's decree.
And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
Spiritual Insight
Rivers and springs become blood—the fresh water sources corrupted. Even the blessings we take for granted can be withdrawn. Let this remind you to treasure every good gift from God's hand.
And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.
Spiritual Insight
The angel of the waters declares: You are righteous, O Lord! Even in judgment, God's character remains perfect. When you struggle to understand His ways, start by affirming His righteousness.
For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
Spiritual Insight
They shed the blood of saints, so blood is given them to drink—they reap what they sowed. God's justice is perfectly proportioned. Nothing escapes His notice; every wrong will be weighed.
And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
Spiritual Insight
From the altar comes the echo: True and righteous are Your judgments. All of heaven affirms what we sometimes struggle to accept. Let heaven's perspective reshape your understanding of justice.
And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
Spiritual Insight
The fourth bowl is poured on the sun—it scorches people with fire. The very sun that gives life now brings agony. Even the familiar can become an instrument of judgment. Don't take God's common grace for granted.
And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
Spiritual Insight
Scorched by fierce heat, they curse God and refuse to repent—hardness of heart even under judgment. The most tragic human response is to cling to rebellion when mercy is still available. Soften your heart while you can.
And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
Spiritual Insight
The beast's kingdom plunged into darkness—people gnaw their tongues in agony. Darkness at the heart of the beast's domain reveals its true nature. What looks powerful in the light looks terrifying in the dark.
And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
Spiritual Insight
They curse God because of their pains but refuse to repent of their deeds. Pain alone doesn't produce repentance; only humility does. Let your struggles drive you toward God, not away from Him.
And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
Spiritual Insight
The Euphrates dries up to prepare the way for eastern kings—God uses geography itself for His purposes. Rivers open and close at His command. Nothing is too hard for the One who made the world.
And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
Spiritual Insight
Three unclean spirits like frogs emerge from the mouths of the dragon, beast, and false prophet—deception breathes from evil's own mouth. The lies we listen to have a source. Be careful whose voice fills your mind.
For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
Spiritual Insight
Spirits of demons performing signs to gather kings for battle—miraculous powers marshaled for destruction. The supernatural is not always from God. Test everything against His Word.
Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
Spiritual Insight
Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes. Readiness is not about fear but about faithfulness. Live each day prepared, not panicked.
And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
Spiritual Insight
They are gathered at Armageddon—the name itself carries weight. The final confrontation is coming, and God is already victorious. You know the ending; let that shape how you live the in-between.
And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
Spiritual Insight
The seventh bowl is poured into the air, and a voice cries: It is done! The finality of those words echoes through eternity. God finishes what He starts. His 'done' is more powerful than any 'not yet.'
And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
Spiritual Insight
Lightning, thunder, and an earthquake unlike any in history—creation itself convulses at God's final act. The magnitude of this moment surpasses everything before it. We serve a God of cosmic proportions.
And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
Spiritual Insight
The great city splits in three, Babylon remembered before God. Cities and kingdoms that opposed Him now face His cup of wrath. Every proud tower built against God will fall. Build your life on the Rock instead.
And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
Spiritual Insight
Islands flee, mountains vanish—the landscape itself transforms under God's power. Nothing in creation is permanent except His word. Let that perspective free you from clinging to what is temporary.
And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
Spiritual Insight
Hailstones weighing a talent fall, and still people curse God. Even the most extraordinary judgments don't soften hearts determined to rebel. The miracle we need most isn't more signs—it's a surrendered heart.
