Revelation Capítulo 1

KJV — King James Version · 20 versículos

1

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Spiritual Insight

God didn't keep His plans hidden — He chose to reveal them through Jesus, trusting ordinary servants like John to carry the message. That same desire to share His heart with you still burns bright today.

2

Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

Spiritual Insight

John didn't just hear the word — he bore witness to it, holding faithfully to everything he saw. There's something beautiful about being someone who faithfully records what God has done in your life.

3

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Spiritual Insight

A blessing is promised to those who read, hear, and keep these words — not just hearers alone. God's blessing flows when His word moves from your ears into your hands and feet.

4

John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

Spiritual Insight

Grace and peace flow from the eternal God who was, who is, and who is to come. No matter what season you're walking through, His presence brackets your past, present, and future with peace.

5

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

Spiritual Insight

Jesus is called the faithful witness and the firstborn from the dead — He went through the worst and came out victorious. His love isn't abstract; it washed you clean with His own blood.

6

And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Spiritual Insight

You've been made a king and a priest — not because you earned it, but because He destined you for dignity and purpose. That identity is worth settling into deeply.

7

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Spiritual Insight

One day every eye will see Him — even those who pierced Him. This isn't meant to frighten you, but to remind you that every wrong will be answered, and every tear will be seen.

8

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Spiritual Insight

Alpha and Omega — the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. God is saying He covers everything from A to Z of your life. Nothing falls outside His sovereign embrace.

9

I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Insight

John was exiled on Patmos, yet he called himself a companion in tribulation — he didn't isolate his suffering. Sometimes your hardest places become the very ground where God speaks loudest.

10

I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

Spiritual Insight

Being 'in the Spirit' on the Lord's day means John made space to listen — and then a voice like a trumpet broke through. When you quiet your heart, God often speaks in ways you didn't expect.

11

Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

Spiritual Insight

Seven real churches with real struggles received personal letters from Jesus. He cares about each community by name — including yours. You are never an anonymous face to Him.

12

And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

Spiritual Insight

John turned to see the voice — curiosity led him straight into a vision of golden lampstands. Sometimes the most holy moments begin with simply turning toward the sound of God's call.

13

And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

Spiritual Insight

In the middle of the candlesticks stood Someone like the Son of Man — God doesn't watch from a distance. He positions Himself right in the center of His church, present and near.

14

His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

Spiritual Insight

White hair like wool and eyes like fire — this is a vision of purity and piercing sight. He sees through every pretense, yet His gaze is full of love, not condemnation.

15

And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

Spiritual Insight

Feet like refined brass and a voice like rushing waters — His steps are sure and His words carry overwhelming power. When He speaks, even the chaos in your life has to listen.

16

And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

Spiritual Insight

Seven stars in His hand, a sword from His mouth, a face like the sun — He holds the church, speaks truth with authority, and radiates glory. He is both tender holder and mighty king.

17

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

Spiritual Insight

John fell as though dead — but the very first words from Jesus were 'Fear not.' No matter how overwhelming God's holiness feels, His instinct is always to reach down and comfort you.

18

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Spiritual Insight

He was dead and is now alive forever, holding the keys to death and hades. The one who conquered the grave holds the keys to your deepest fears — they have no final power over you.

19

Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

Spiritual Insight

Write it down — the past, the present, and the future. God values record-keeping because He wants His people to remember. Your story of faith deserves to be written too.

20

The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

Spiritual Insight

The mystery is explained — stars are angels and lampstands are churches. God isn't trying to confuse you; He gives meaning to symbols because He wants you to understand His heart for His people.
