Revelation Chapter 19

KJV — King James Version · 21 verses

1

And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

Spiritual Insight

A great multitude in heaven shouts: Hallelujah! Salvation, glory, honor, and power belong to our God. When heaven celebrates, it centers on who God is, not on what He gives. Make your worship about Him.

2

For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

Spiritual Insight

True and righteous are His judgments—He has avenged the blood of His servants. God's justice is not revenge; it's righteousness acting on behalf of the wronged. You can trust Him with your pain.

3

And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

Spiritual Insight

Hallelujah again! Her smoke rises forever and ever—a double celebration of justice complete. Heaven doesn't apologize for celebrating God's victory. When evil is finally defeated, joy will be uncontainable.

4

And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

Spiritual Insight

The twenty-four elders and four living creatures fall down and worship—amen, hallelujah! All of creation's representatives join in praise. When was the last time your worship was that wholehearted?

5

And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

Spiritual Insight

A voice from the throne: Praise our God, all His servants, small and great! The invitation to worship is universal—no one is too small or too great. Your praise matters as much as anyone's.

6

And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

Spiritual Insight

Like a multitude, like rushing waters, like mighty thunder—the Lord God omnipotent reigns! The sound of this worship fills the universe. Our God reigns, and that truth deserves the loudest praise we can offer.

7

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

Spiritual Insight

Let us rejoice! The marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready. This is not a distant fairy tale—it's your future. You are being prepared for the most beautiful celebration in history.

8

And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Spiritual Insight

Fine linen, clean and bright, given her to wear—for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. What you wear to this wedding is woven from your faithful choices. Every act of obedience becomes part of your wedding garment.

9

And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Spiritual Insight

Blessed are those invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb! These are true words of God. You have an invitation—not earned, but given. Respond with joy and gratitude.

10

And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Spiritual Insight

John falls to worship the angel, but is told: worship God alone! Even beautiful spiritual experiences can become idols. Keep your worship directed to the Creator, never to the messenger.

11

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Spiritual Insight

Heaven opens, and a white horse appears—Faithful and True, judging and waging war in righteousness. Jesus comes not as victim but as conquering King. See Him as He truly is.

12

His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

Spiritual Insight

Eyes like fire, many crowns, a name known only to Himself—mystery and authority together. There are depths of Jesus you have yet to discover. He is more than you've yet imagined.

13

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Spiritual Insight

Clothed in a robe dipped in blood, His name is the Word of God. The Word made flesh now speaks as conquering King. Every word He has spoken will be fulfilled. Trust His promises completely.

14

And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Spiritual Insight

Heaven's armies follow Him on white horses, dressed in fine linen. You are part of this army—not fighting alone but following the Commander. The victory is already His; you just get to ride with Him.

15

And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Spiritual Insight

A sharp sword from His mouth to strike the nations, ruling with iron, treading the winepress of God's wrath. His word is His weapon—sharp and decisive. When He speaks, things happen. Listen to His voice.

16

And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Spiritual Insight

On His robe and thigh: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. There is no higher title, no greater authority. Every other king and lord answers to Him. Bow now in love or bow later in awe—either way, He reigns.

17

And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

Spiritual Insight

An angel standing in the sun calls the birds to a great supper. Even in victory's aftermath, the imagery is stark. God's justice is comprehensive—nothing is overlooked, nothing escapes.

18

That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

Spiritual Insight

Eat the flesh of kings, captains, mighty men—the great supper of God spares no rank. Before God, every human title collapses. All that remains is whether you stood with Him or against Him.

19

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

Spiritual Insight

The beast, the kings, and their armies gather to war against the Rider. The audacity of evil—attacking when defeat is certain. But rebellion never makes sense; that's the nature of sin.

20

And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Spiritual Insight

The beast and false prophet are captured and thrown alive into the lake of fire. No long battle—swift, decisive judgment. The enemies of God don't need a prolonged fight; they need one word from the King.

21

And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Spiritual Insight

The rest are slain by the sword from His mouth—the battle ends as quickly as it began. When Jesus speaks, it is finished. The same voice that calmed the storm silences all opposition.
